Meet Andrew Whitfield-Cook
Andrew Whitfield-Cook is the founder of Natural Medicine Partners, a collaborative platform created to enhance the skillset and safety of integrative medicine practitioners, worldwide.
As a Registered Nurse with over 28 years in the natural medicine spheres, Andrew is a passionate complementary medicine and patient rights advocate, an engaging educator, a devoted husband and father of two wonderful young men.
He 'found his calling' when he fell into podcasting about the merits of natural medicine almost a decade ago. Thanks to his obsession with research, an uncanny ability to retain an encyclopedic knowledge of the papers he reads, and his warm and inquisitive nature, he quickly grew to become one of the most recommended podcasters for health professionals to learn from.
Andrew devotes his time between podcasting, education, consulting, and his love of road trips with his wife.
Andrew has worked with some of the natural medicine industry's leading brands and partners, including; FX Medicine, BioCeuticals, Designs for Health, Ora Health, the 6am Agency and Oborne Health Supplies, and has been a key media partner and/or MC for prestigious industry events with a host of leading entities, including; United in Compassion Medicinal Cannabis Symposium, Natupreneur Experience (NatEx), Australasian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (acnem), Biomedica, BioCeuticals Research Symposium, and Australian Traditional Medicine Society (ATMS) annual events.
As a sought-after educator and speaker, Andrew has developed and delivered evidence-based complementary medicine presentations to meet the needs of naturopaths, herbalists, nutritionists, pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, medical doctors, chiropractors and osteopaths, plus students of these professions at their respective institutions, as well as the patients who receive treatment.
Andrew is passionate about marrying scientific and clinical evidence through the lens of safety and efficacy, but crucially; to yield improved patient outcomes. His comprehensive presentations have always been met with high praise by attendees.
As the inugural host of the highly successful, premier health practitioner podcast show, FX Medicine, Andrew amassed more than 300 episodes at the helm. This experience enabled him to refine and broadened his journalistic interviewing skills for a targeted range of researchers, clinicians, politicians and patients. His 30+ years of experience in various roles across the Australian health care industry and profession, have given him specialised insight to be able to connect in an engaging way and delve deeply into the professional, political and clinical stories of podcast guests.
Now, through Natural Medicine Partners, Andrew continues to collaborate and partner with natural medicine professional and industry stakeholders to advocate for the safe and efficacious use of complementary medicines as a choice in a person's health and wellbeing.
